Crimson Desert: Charting the Unknown Expansion Adds Ocean Exploration, Marriage

Pearl Abyss has released a new six-minute overview trailer for the upcoming Crimson Desert expansion, Charting the Unknown.

Players will gain access to the Great Ocean of Pywel, a new region featuring its own storyline and areas to explore above and below the water.

Ocean exploration introduces shipbuilding, letting players gather materials, build vessels, and customize them before sailing between islands. Players can also fight enemy forces and, with their Greymane companions, establish strongholds.

Moreover, players can build relationships with certain characters by earning their trust, which can lead to marriage. Companions may also visit the Greymane Camp.

Housing gets additional customization options, including the ability to place walls, windows, and other structural features. Players can also claim liberated castles and decorate their interiors.

There’s also the implementation of business management, allowing you to lease facilities, assign companions, select merchandise, and manage operations. A new Boss Gauntlet mode will also be added.

Crimson Desert is available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. The Enhanced Version is also available for free and includes a slew of additions.
