Once Human isn’t technically a looter shooter, considering most of the gear you get from the game is crafted and not ripped out of a boss enemy’s stomach. That said, it still has a wide assortment of named weapons and armor sets that require some balancing, which is being addressed by Netease’s Starry Studio in a patch due next week.
First, the MG4 – Conflicting Memories machine gun will be seeing its shrapnel effect occur more frequently while granting wielders some brief stacks of super armor when it procs. Second, the Treacherous Tides armor set will have its damage-boosting effects tied to character HP instead of sanity, while also removing the fixed 10% damage boost from the three-piece bonus and increasing the shield for the four-piece bonus.
These are just a couple of the promised item updates that Starry Studio is applying based on player feedback, so we can expect more gear tweaking in future patches. For now, if you happen to have these very specific items on your survival shooter person, you might want to get the full skinny ahead of next week.
