A new PlayStation 5 game set to release soon is clearly inspired by Rockstar's classic 2006 game Bully. PlayStation 5 gamers are lucky in that they can easily access many of Rockstar's classic games. Though titles like the PS2 GTA games have been delisted, the remastered versions of the games exist, and other games from that era like Manhunt and Bully are still readily available on the PlayStation Store at the time of this writing.
Bully, for the uninitiated, is about 15-year-old juvenile delinquent Jimmy Hopkins attending Bullworth Academy, where he encounters all kinds of eccentric characters, completes GTA-style missions with a schoolyard twist, and even attends classes. Like most of Rockstar's games, Bully earned critical acclaim, and is fondly remembered as one of the best PS2 games. Bully was remastered for mobile devices, Wii, and Xbox 360, and was also re-released on PS4, complete with trophy support. Despite Bully's strong sales and positive reviews, Rockstar has never moved forward with a sequel to the game.
Agefield High: Rock the School is Inspired by Rockstar's Bully
No official Bully 2 has been announced by Rockstar Games, and while leaks over the years have suggested that such a project may have been in the works at some point, it doesn't seem like it's going to happen any time soon, if ever. Agefield High: Rock the School is stepping in to help fill the void left by the lack of Bully 2, and while its quality may not be near what fans would expect from an actual Bully 2, it is undeniably looking to provide a similar experience.

Players take on the role of new student Sam as he completes various missions, Bully-style, though he is also free to explore the game's open world. Just like in Bully, Agefield High: Rock the School features various classes for players to attend, but also gives them the option to play hooky. Time management is important for anyone that doesn't want to miss their classes, which is another feature taken from Rockstar's beloved 2006 game.

The catch is that while Agefield High: Rock the School is clearly positioning itself as a spiritual successor of sorts to Bully, it is apparently not a particularly good game. Agefield High: Rock the School is releasing on PS5 on September 25, but the game was released on PC in August. Steam users have not been impressed with the game, leaving it with a "Mostly Negative" overall reception. The good news is that more recent reviews for the game on Steam have left it with a "Mixed" rating, suggesting that post-launch updates have improved it at least somewhat.
Unfortunately, there really haven't been many games like Bully released over the years, so Agefield High: Rock the School is one of the only options for those wanting a similar experience. Time will tell how the version of Agefield High: Rock the School that releases on PS5 on September 25 turns out compared to the PC version, but we will find out soon enough.
